#004: agents, Tuesdays and in-betweens
Is it July already, the cold is unbearable! 🤒
Nope, it’s not a fluke, I’m actually writing two newsletters this month! 🎉 And in the spirit of building consistency, they’ll now go out twice a month, every other Tuesday. Fun, right? Something to brighten the most boringest day of the week.
Why the switch? Well, with AI evolving daily, a monthly update just isn’t enough anymore. Things are shifting too fast to wait 30 days. Here’s to hoping I don’t drop the ball 🤞
Okay, let’s get ittt!
AI: Agents, for real this time!
I created what I believe is the most beautiful architecture diagram ever (in my humble opinion 😄) and of course, I had to share it. But more importantly, I built an ai agent to automatically track and tag issues.
Why ai agents? Why do they even matter? AI agents are systems that take Large Language Models a step further allowing them to perform actions, not just generate text. By giving an LLM access to tools and context, you empower it to act on your behalf. I broke down the whole project in a Fun Friday Demo video on YouTube, check it out when you can!
🧠Want to learn more about AI agents? The best place to start is the AI Agents for Beginners course, it’s beginner-friendly, practical, and super insightful.
What else, because there’s always something else:
We wrapped up the Microsoft Kenya Data + AI Hackathon, a big shoutout to all the winners and participants!
Did a comeback blog, summarizing all that’s been happening. The hope is consistency.
I have a talk today on Custom Tools for AI agents and another on Understanding AI Agents (this should be a blog by now).
The In-Betweens
It’s been a quiet but busy season Microsoft Build is around the corner! So I’ve been deep in the prep zone: cleaning up labs, reviewing sessions, and getting ready for what’s ahead… while still trying to enjoy the ride.
Here’s what’s up:
Hobby: Tried my hand at digital oil painting and did a whole TikTok on it and bought some colouring books for a girls night!
Podcast: Currently enjoying Adelle Onyango’s midweek tease. Those 15-minute snippets, incredible.
Show: Rewatching the good place and realizing I never got to complete it in the first place. Also, nothing on TV is sparking joy lately, so I might take a break from shows altogether.
Fiction: Just finished another Emily Henry’s book. Loving this soft romance novel era I’m in.
Non-fiction: Maybe I should read other books, because, yes, these are still unfinished:
The Art of Danish Living by Meik Wiking
You Are a Badss at Making Money* by Jen Sincero
Experiences:
Did paintballing again, totally forgot how much it hurts when you get hit
That’s it for the in-betweens. 💫
Beauty in the Mundane
My theme for the year is Beauty.
And one thing I’ve appreciated this past week? The silent nights with some Jazz in the background.
Thank you dear reader,
